This year an European Society of Hypertension Meeting was held in Milan from the 17th till the 20th of June. ESH is a European medical organization dealing with hypertension and organizing annual meetings for people involved in work with hypertension from all over the world.
The mission of the ESH is providing a stable and organized platform for hypertension research exchange and promoting, supporting and organizing actions in the field of constant medical education of hypertension and other cardiovascular dieses.
Every ESH meeting gives an opportunity to participate in sessions covering the subjects of novel clinical research, experimental suites as well as presentation of new guidelines. A very important element of the meetings are educational, scientific sessions and poster presentations that show the current state of the knowledge, perspectives and directions of research in diagnostics and treatment of hypertension.
During this year’s meeting employees of the Hypertension Unit of the Medical University of Gdańsk presented results of studies carried out thanks to the CARENORTH. The CARENORTH project aims at finding correlations in genetic phenotypes with hypertension in a big cohort. The project is financed by the Polish-Norwegian Research Fund. The participation was possible thanks to the support of the Polish-Norwegian Research Fund.
